- To hit rolls of “20” or “1” are potential critical hits or misses (per special rules).
- Initiative is straight d10 rolls - low roll wins. Ties are simultaneous.
- Heavy thrown missile weapons such as throwing hammers/axes and spears receive Strength bonuses (to hit/damage); does not apply to lighter missiles (daggers, darts, javelins, etc.) which only receive the Dexterity bonus to hit.
- A cleric may pray or invoke their deity's benediction to cause a religion-based game effect. This action does not require spell use, and may be enhanced by use of a vial of holy water.
- Level drains by undead:
- For half-strength undead of a type that normally drain a single level, on a hit the victim receives a saving throw versus death. If successful, no level is drained.
- For those draining two levels, a successful hit automatically drains a single level. A failed saving throw results in the second level's draining.
